Our Story
With over 20 years’ experience in healthcare, our aim was to integrate health and wellbeing with hospitality to create a unique, holistic experience that blends our wellness offering with high-end service. This blend was designed to offer our clients not just treatment, but an overall experience that promotes healing and relaxation.
Our Clinical Director, Craig McHugh (MCSP BSc Hons Physiotherapy) has an honours degree in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University, an HND in Sports therapy and qualifications in Dynamic Assisted Stretch certified by the IGCT, IICT, WMF and the WMC. He has vast experience within the health sector having worked within the NHS, with elite level athletes in football, boxing and rugby as well as owning and operating successful private Physiotherapy Clinics within Scotland.
Craig has successfully developed our ‘Stretched Academy’ which teaches and certifies our Stretch Therapists to ensure they are delivery our services at the highest possible level.
Meet The Stretched Team
Lucy
Lucy is a professional dancer with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre and Dance from Bird College. Over the past eight years, she has honed her craft through extensive training in London and New York, participating in elite professional programs.
Since graduating, Lucy has performed at high-profile corporate events across the UK and appeared on various television shows. Most recently, she worked as a featured dancer on cruise ships, traveling the globe and showcasing her versatility in a wide range of productions.
With her deep understanding of flexibility training and movement, Lucy is excited to bring her expertise to the wellness industry as a Stretch Therapist, helping clients improve their mobility and achieve their physical best.

John
With extensive qualifications in sports massage therapy, Thai stretch therapy, and assisted stretch therapy, John is also an experienced fitness trainer and trainee spin instructor passionate about helping clients achieve peak performance and overall well-being.
Having trained and lived in South and Southeast Asia, John integrates a unique blend of traditional and modern techniques into his practice, emphasizing recovery, flexibility, and optimized movement. His approach combines holistic principles learned abroad with evidence-based methods to deliver outstanding results.
John has worked closely with athletes, HYROX challengers, and gym-goers, creating tailored programs to support their progress and enhance their training. Whether focusing on targeted recovery, improved mobility, or performance-driven coaching, John is committed to helping clients unlock their full potential and achieve their goals.

Elaine (Mitchie)
Elaine’s passion for assisted stretching began in 2017 after experiencing a transformative session at Dr. Stretch in Japan. This sparked her appreciation for the essential role flexibility and mobility play in maintaining physical well-being and overall health.
Since then, Elaine has become a certified expert in mat and reformer Pilates, Yin Yoga, and assisted stretching, earning two specialised certifications in the field. Her background in personal training and CrossFit has been greatly enriched by her focus on flexibility and recovery, enabling her to help clients move more freely, improve performance, and feel their best every day.

Dana
Danna’s journey into the world of manual therapy is deeply rooted in her lifelong passion for movement and the human body. As a competitive gymnast from a young age, she developed an intuitive understanding of the physical demands we place on our bodies and the mental resilience required to meet them.
Her early experiences as an athlete provided her with valuable insights into the challenges of high-performance activities and the physical toll of everyday life.
Now as a massage therapist, Danna brings together her diverse background with a compassionate touch, creating a space where clients can reconnect with their bodies.
She is a qualified Sports Therapist currently pursuing her BSc in Sports Rehabilitation. Outside of work, Danna enjoys practicing yoga, spending time outdoors, and is a firm believer in the transformative power of movement.

Sara
Sara’s journey in movement began with dance at the age of 2, instilling a deep appreciation for strength, control, and grace. After shifting her focus to become a Dietitian specialising in sports nutrition, she continued to explore movement through Pilates and yoga, finding a natural connection to her dance roots.
Her passion for reformer Pilates ignited during her travels in Australia, leading her to pursue certifications in both mat and reformer Pilates. Since 2020, Sara has been teaching in top studios across Edinburgh and Glasgow, specialising in athletic Pilates and stretching techniques designed to enhance performance and recovery.
Committed to continuous growth, Sara has completed advanced workshops to refine her practice for training athletes and is currently expanding her expertise through Lagree training.

Nimah
Niamh is an experienced fitness instructor and recently qualified Occupational Therapist with a deep passion for health and well-being. Her expertise in occupational therapy has given her a unique understanding of the importance of functional independence, emphasizing how staying mobile enables individuals to perform daily activities with ease and improve their overall quality of life.
Niamh is particularly enthusiastic about the mind-body connection and how it influences both our physical and mental states. She believes in the power of stretching to enhance this connection, using relaxation techniques, deep breathing, and mindful movement to promote overall well-being. With her knowledge and dedication, Niamh is committed to helping others achieve a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Georgie
Georgie, originally from Yorkshire, developed a love for dance at an early age. Her passion for movement led her to earn a place at Elmhurst Ballet School, where she trained vocationally for five years. Afterward, she moved to Glasgow to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, graduating with a BA in Modern Ballet.
Since graduating, Georgie has pursued her passion for teaching, working with various dance schools across Scotland. Throughout her training and career, she faced frequent injuries, which sparked a deep interest in rehabilitation and self-care. This journey has motivated Georgie to educate others about the importance of looking after our bodies, and she is excited to help clients feel their best through movement and recovery.

Amy is a Massage Therapist, Stretch Therapist and a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher with a deep passion for helping individuals achieve greater ease and overall well-being. An intuitive and empathetic soul, Amy finds purpose in providing therapeutic treatments that nurture the Body, Mind, and Spirit.
With over six years of experience and extensive training within the wellness industry, Amy specialises in tailored programs to create a truly personalised experience.
In her stretch therapy sessions, Amy guides clients into a relaxed state, skilfully manoeuvring and manipulating muscles and tissues to enhance mobility, flexibility, blood flow, and detoxification. Her goal is to help clients feel more at ease in their bodies while fostering healing and support on physical, mental, and emotional levels.
Dedicated to providing professional, personalised care, Amy works with clients of all ages and body types, creating a nurturing environment that encourages healing, strength, and thriving.

With a confident ability to analyse and deliver anatomically personalised services, Sammie provides thoughtful, client-cantered care. Naturally attuned to the comfort of others, Sammie excels in creating supportive and inclusive environments.
